Compte rendu de deux congrès qui ont eu lieu à Paris lors de l'exposition universelle de 1889 :
- le congrès international de météorologie du 19 au 26 septembre 1889 : <br>President: Mr. Renou, president of the French Meteorological Society and director of the Park of St. Maur Observatory.<br>Vice presidents: Rev. Fr. Denza (Italy), Messrs. Symons (England), Hildebrandsson (Sweden), Billwiller (Switzerland), Paulsen<br>(Denmark), Pujazon (Spain), Cruls (Brazil), and Gould (United States but formerly in the Argentine Republic). General secretary: Mr. Léon Teisserenc de Bort. Secretaries: Messrs. Moureaux, Lasne, Abbé Maze, and Mr. Lancaster, of Belgium, who was absent.<br>- Le congrès international d'hydrologie et de climatologie du 3 au 10 octobre 1889 : <br>Honorary president: the minister of the Interior; president: Mr. Renou ; honorary vice president: Professor Winternitz, of the University of Vienna; national vice presidents: Drs. Danjoy, Constantin Paul, and Fines; foreign vice presidents: Messrs. Lancaster (Belgium), Ceccherelli (Italy), and Caldéron (Spain); general secretary: Dr. de Ranse; secretaries: Drs. Schlemmer and De la Harpe.<br>The sections of scientific and medical hydrology each chose officers, those of the former section being as follows: President: Dr. Labat, member of the Medical Hydrological Society of Paris; national vice presidents: Drs. Bouloumié and Baréty; foreign vice presidents: Mr. Bonkowsky-Bey (Turkey) and Dr. Poskin (Belgium).<br>The climatological section was thus officered: President: Mr. Lemoine, chief engineer of the Ponts et Chaussées and vice president of the French Meteorological Society; national vice presidents: Drs. de Valcourt and Hameau; foreign vice presidents: Messrs. Faralli (Italy), Wada (Japan), and Rotch (United States); secretary: Dr. Deligny.
