The history of observing sites in and near Cambridge is outlined here from nineteenth century, to the present day; more specifically for the Cambridge Observatory from 1873, and University Botanic Garden from 1904. This article shows how the locations have changed over the years, with a comparison of maximum temperatures from the middle of the nineteenth century. Other locations mentioned include Trinity College, Beech House, the nearby town of Royston, the University Farm and the National Institute of Agricultural Botany. </p>
